Beyond not getting sick, eating vegetables or exercising three times a week, being healthy and experiencing wellness involves much more. Maximizing human potential and taking into account daily routines by always adapting them to our interests and preferences in terms of food, exercise, sleep and personal hygiene are part of wellness. 


1. Food 

We are what we eat, but there is no better way to describe the effect that a healthy diet has on our wellbeing, as it ensures that the body receives the nutrients it needs for optimal performance, reducing the risk of diseases and risks related to conditions such as obesity, overweight and diabetes.

2. Decrease alcohol consumption 

According to WHO statistics, 3 million deaths occur each year worldwide as a result of excessive alcohol consumption. And these drinks have been shown to have negative effects on the body's health; in fact, alcohol has been linked to some 200 diseases and has been implicated in the development of mental and behavioral problems. 

That said, we're not asking you to stop drinking alcohol altogether; rather, we're asking you to reduce the frequency with which you drink.

3. Quit smoking

Expert warnings about smoking are many and very serious. Smoking has been linked to a wide range of diseases, from minor ailments to cancer. 

Moreover, smoking affects not only you, but also the people you live with on a daily basis, as they become passive smokers by inhaling cigarette smoke, which is detrimental to their health.

4. Exercise

Sport is one of the bases of a healthy lifestyle. And it is not necessary to devise an exhaustive regimen for exercise; nonetheless, physical exercise, such as a daily 30-minute walk, may be done by anybody and has been related to a range of health advantages, such as:

  • Maintaining proper weight. 
  • Keeping blood sugar under control.
  • Decreases the likelihood of developing coronary heart disease.
  • Positively influences the quality of sleep.

5. Maintain a clean appearance 

Since microorganisms can spread disease, it is essential to practice good personal and household hygiene. Wash your hands frequently, shower regularly and have a clean environment. 

6. Be mindful of your mental health 

We advise you to treat your body and mind equally, because mental and physical health are closely related and directly dependent on each other.
